Here is the third chapter to Of Dolls & Wolves which is about a "Doll" - an instrument of war for the military - who must now go from an emotionless weapon to a normal society and play as a regular girl. These chapters reflect her, those around her, and the world as it changes from war to peace.
Alester is now a 'Courier' for Brackett Courier Company and helps with the workload since the desertion of almost all of the employees who have left due to her presence.
In Chapter Three, Lauren invites Alester to Throne Island, a small island off the coast of the capitol city where their to meet a client who also happens to be Lauren's childhood friend. But Alester's old habits kick in when she senses something sinister keeping an eye on her.
