Here is the second chapter to Of Dolls & Wolves which is about a "Doll" - an instrument of war for the military - who must now go from an emotionless weapon to a normal society and play as a regular girl. These chapters reflect her, those around her, and the world as it changes from war to peace.
Alester is now a 'Courier' for Brackett Courier Company and helps with the workload since the desertion of almost all of the employees who have left due to her presence.
In Chapter Two, Alester and Michaelis are hired as bodyguards to Suzie Rostagno, a seemingly stuck up young woman who is being stalked by a nobleman's son.
